Are there any plans to implement an extension for firefox on android?

I have been using Firefox on android for some time, and I would like to have the possibility of adding the security from F secure to this browser. An ETA would also be nice.

Yep, I agree. I mostly use FF on Android for its ad block abilities, but really like the Chrome protection (including the Browsing Protection icon). So to have it on Android like we have it with Windows and FF, would be fantastic :)

I use Firefox on Android because I also need to use Firefox on my laptop and desktop.
I was using Avast, with firefox and Avast protection work bij intercepting any link before handing it to the browser: which means which ever browser you use, it is protected from opening Scam sites. I wanted to give F-Secure a try because, it promised: "No up-selling advertisement", Lighter footprint.

Not being able to use firefox is a deal breaker for me. I am returning to Avast, because of it

    Hello,

@dried, I tried to Google it - but it seems that Avast doesn't support the Firefox browser either (on Android).

Is it pinned to certain Android version or certain Avast app build? Or did you mean specifically only opening URLs from other sources / places (which would then open in the default Firefox browser); as you said 'intercepting any link before handing it to the browser'?

    I mean, if so…

Not being able to use firefox is a deal breaker for me.

you can still use Firefox on a device that has the F-Secure app for Android installed.

and to implement something other than fully supported state for Firefox browser (as it is available for Chrome Protection) is likely a bit easier task. So, you may try to create a feature request exactly about this subject.

Also, recent F-Secure apps for Android with more features. Such as, basically, there is Scam Protection alongside with SMS Protection (which probably Protecting yourself against text message scams acted as something you described) and it is always possible 'manually' check any suspicious URLs either via F-Secure Link Checker or Checking content for scams.

There is also exLookoutLife - F-Secure Mobile Security. Where another set of functions might be implemented.

Not sure what is available and what is not. I just did not use mobile devices daily and recent Android versions.

    Thanks!
