Hi @FPeter
Welcome to our Community page. Thank you for your post.
F-Secure FREEDOME VPN is not designed for a virtual machine environment however it may work and may not. There might be some configuration or setup that needs to be done on the host or virtual machine however, we do not have any specific configuration for the virtual environment. You can read the previous post regarding virtual machines for F-Secure FREEDOME VPN on the link below:
FREEDOME VPN not working on a VMware Fusion 12 host on macOS 11 (Big Sur) - F-Secure Community
Freedome stops access to virtualbox host only adapter — F-Secure Community
Freedome - cannot access virtual box (host-only network) when vpn on — F-Secure Community
In your case, if you have installed F-Secure FREEDOME VPN on your virtual machine, most likely it will protect the connection on your virtual machine if you can get the status of F-Secure FREEDOME VPN to "Protection ON".
However, if you only install the F-Secure FREEDOME VPN on your host machine, it may or may not protect the connectivity on your virtual machine.
Thank you and stay safe.
