I am only an F-Secure user (their home solutions).
Since these articles
- I want to use Osuuspankki's offer promising 6 months free F-Secure TOTAL, but I already have a valid My F-Secure account with subscription time remaining - F-Secure Community
- I could not activate the new Osuuspankki (OP) F-Secure TOTAL offer, what should I do? - F-Secure Community
do not mention anything additional, reinstallation is likely not entirely necessary. But, at least, you probably need to re-login within application, to re-activate "profile". Because the previous license will have to be expired, and to "add" a new one, you need to log into your account (or reinstall application).

Of course, if both licenses / packages were / are about one type. I mean, if F-Secure TOTAL / F-Secure SAFE (however, I did not check such a point). So, you anyway able start from log out / log in within application (even if you choose to keep the email, so even if will remain the same). And only then reinstall the application if required after that try.
