Freedome veeeery slow, Falkenstein, Belgium, Paris, Netherlands, Switzerland

Hi all,

 

since ca. 3 month we are having speed problems when connecting to Freedome using Falkenstein servers.

 

iMac, Macbook macos latest version

iPhones, iPads iOS latest versions

 

Why is that and when will F-Secure solve that issue?

 

p.S.: switching to other European Freedome sites is as well very slowly. Belgium wasn't able to connect.

    Are you still having this slowness with the connection? Does it happen only during certain time periods or all the time?

    I will check with our Freedome team on this.

    it is still very slow, especially in the evening times.

     

    thank you for monitoring and hopefully solving this issue, because we are hardly able to connect via Freedome.

     

    btw: we recommended some years ago a kind of traffic meter, that shows how loaded the vpn is. Any progress on this?

    We checked with the team and there are no performance issues in those places according to our monitoring.

     

    Could you try to use some other network to connect and see if this changes the speed with Freedome on? We are guessing it might be something in the network which is limiting the connectivity. Also, do you have BitTorrent running on your device when Freedome is on? 

     

    There is no new update regarding the traffic meter feature request.

    we have no bitorrent, edonkey or any other software like this in use.

     

    We have a 50/10 Mbit VDSL connection here. We are using Freedome since several years now. The speed problems while using Freedome are there since some 3-4 month. Without Freedome we have no speed problems.

    This might need further investigation with our Support team. Hence, please get the Freedome logs and contact our support via chat/phone. Kindly mention about who your Internet Service Provider is in the case.
