    We did a small user interface customization update to beta clients. You should see it within 24 hours if you have latest version.

    Installed it on my VM, and works well.
    Will look at putting it on my pc. Both VM and main PC in the fast release channel of W10. :)

    Going on the basis of the product on my VM it would see we are to rely/use the inbuilt firewall of Windows?

    I've asked this before: Where do I see

    • Common Component Framework 2.53 build 242
    • Antivirus 14.153 build 100
    • Browsing protection 2.153 build 3706

    When I open About where I*d expect to see those I see FS Protection 16.2

    (Works fine on W10 Home 64 and upgrades work without problems, too.

    Good to see the feedback access in the GUI in this, too.)

    When I tried to post the above I got

    Your post has been changed because invalid HTML was found in the message body. The invalid HTML has been removed. Please review the message and submit the message when you are satisfied.

    What could have been the HTML? I don't see any changes and anything that I could recognize as HTML.

    Hello Martink,

    Thank you for your report.

    Did you actually use the HTML tab to post or the rich text editor?

    Has your post been anyhow visibly modified compared to how you wrote it originally?

    Hello,

    About "CCF version/build", "AV version/build" and "BP version/build":

    -> When you open "About"... you should to see FS Protection, but next line/string should be about CCF version/build number.

    Such as:

    For Common Component Framwework:

    --> Tray-picture right click = About = get information after "FS Protection version" for CCF and modules;

    For AV/Browsing Protection:

    --> Main UI for AV and Browsing Protection-side UI for BP =  About/Question-picture = get information about modules under AV/BP with current latest versions.

    Also.. if you have experience about upgrade. Same information should be under list of updates. Such as -> same number/build - if your installation was upgraded.

    Sorry if you ask about something else.. or if your "About"-window have another view. But with my experience it's normally work (?!).

    Thanks.

    No change and no I used the rich text and just copied some text from the first post in this thread.

    Apparently that came as html though in the browser I only see normal text.

    Thanks https://community.f-secure.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/23391. That refreshed my memory. What I have is

    TP153.JPG

    You read that Common Component Framwework 2.53 as TP 153.

    Hello @martink,

    This might have been a one off error. Let us know if it reoccurs or you are able to reproduced accurately this behavior, so that we can investigate further?

    Try sending me the problematic text by Private Message so I can also have a better look.

    Hello,

    Sorry for my reply.

    I can to reproduce:

    ""Your post has been changed because invalid HTML was found in the message body. The invalid HTML has been removed. Please review the message and submit the message when you are satisfied.""

    With some of steps.

    But maybe it's related with another trouble-point... just because.. it's anyway possible to create a letter. And previously... I also have experience with same description, but when not possible to create a letter. Such as it was temporary trouble (because fixed after some of hours/days) maybe.

    My steps for "reproduce" notification can be next:

    -> Choose "reply" button for topic (first) - where have HTML probably. Such as release-notes.

    -> Choose "Quote".

    -> Goes to "Preview" tab.

    But probably there possible to create letter. And current notification does not block it (how it was previously with some of my experience).

    Sorry again.

    That may depend on how often one opens the FS-Protection. I had not, so I had to look for it after your post.

    I think the fact that we rarely open the interface shows that the product is good, and doesn't require much maintenance. Smiley Wink

    Yes the product certainly does what it does smoothly and without maintenance.

    The things that have needed my attention have been mostly with the installation. Once that is done then it works. In the past year I had to reinstall the commercial/licenced  product on two  PC, but not the tech preview.   As an indication of the increased amount of malware I get more notifications than a couple of years ago.
