expired subscription of beta program
My beta license is still fully active as of December 1, 2025, but has been expired 4 days now.
I sent the email to beta@f-secure.com in a few days. May I know any update? Thanks.

I sent the email to beta@f -secure.com in a few days. May I know any update? Thanks.
As I wrote in another topic:
Unless there are problems with this email address (but let's assume that's not the case) - make sure you are sending the letter from your email address which is used in FS Protection (My FS Protection account). A delay of some working days is also quite acceptable. Additionally, it is possible that the response will simply be an action rather than an email reply.
As I imagine, upon receiving a letter from you, they will be able to connect this email address with an existing FS Protection account and renew the license accordingly (either expired or close to expiration). Maybe it is automated process (so, can be tricky if, for example, you just mentioned a proper email address in the body of letter instead of having it as a sender).
Also, try to check some odd situations like:
- if system/device is still supported (just in case);
- rebooting system's device (just in case if something 'pending'), not only 'shut down and turn on back', but 'actual' restart / reboot;
My beta license is still fully active as of December 1, 2025, but has been expired 4 days now.
So, is it expired now?
As per other users' feedback - they eventually got a renewal.
Thanks!

No any reply from "beta@f -secure.com" and my subscription still expired now…
not nice to hear this.
(but I would say that replies from this address are received less frequently than they could be, and only when clarification is required and no action can be taken without a response)
I'd just like to know one thing: how do you check your subscription status? By looking at the installation (on the device), one or more devices? Or do you go to the My FS Protection portal and see the subscription status as expired?
Such as: what if the device (system) is not receiving updated information for some reason, even though the account itself has received a renewal?
I mean, I think they initially automatically renew the subscriptions of most beta users (maybe for 'active' ones; but I am not sure what 'active' could mean: and as such - what is 'active' and 'inactive' I do not know, but can to think of). Maybe per compiling some batches.
Then, when manual requests come in, meaning 'inactive' users also want to renew their subscriptions (like for some reason someone was missed or their subscription was not renewed properly) - the next batch is formed. And, then, they probably opted to update the entire beta user base to avoid any errors caused by forgetting someone. If so, then this would explain my observations and some of the results for my devices. But this does not explain why your subscription is expired (since you are willing beta testing).
I am not sure why the subscription wasn't extended (or clearly rejected), unless the email address is somehow tricky and things didn't go as expected (or something like that) and the fact is remained unknown to them.
Thus, unless some official people will pop up with something (as per suggestion above), can you try some more things to do:
- if fs protection is still installed on your Windows device, can you try to open main UI and see there 'found a bug? report it..' placeholder in the bottom right. This will open a 'letter template' for default email client (or browser, or whatever) and you will see another email address as the recipient. Therefore, you could try to put one more extra 'bug report' on the renewal subject.
Since currently there is some holidays season - try doing it earlier. Maybe one of the official representatives will be able to see/check/suggest something.
Thanks!

Yes, when I tried to request a follow-up, I only received an automated reply email.
(Yes, this is the first email I've received from the "beta" department.)
I Just check My FS Protection portal

remaining days: 0 Your subscription has expired.
If there are other ways to contact me, I can try those too :)

I think there should be clear policies and instructions for renewing Win/Mac platfrom beta tester licenses on the https://www.f-secure.com/en/fs-protection website. However, there are no direct instructions for renewing the license and requests to the email address beta@f -secure.com may take weeks/months before they are responded to due to the lack of an vendor´s English-language community resource. Very weak and unclear community policy, I would say.😡

By the way, here is the webpage / instructions I mentioned in another comment on this subject: https://download.sp.f-secure.com/SE/FS-Protection/renew/ (may have been more relevant during the existence of the dedicated beta portal).
it is accessible from the 'Subscription' part of UI, but I would expect it to also be referenced in dialogs regarding subscription expiration/renewal (this was the case previously, but I haven't had an opportunity to see how it is now).
Mentioned "create a bug report" is possible now by:
- sending an email to beta@f-secure.com
- sending an email to another address (as I suppose, integrated with the ticket processing system), which can be accessed from the relevant place of the user interface, at least for the Windows platform.
I think, both ways, nevertheless, lead to the same result, but the first one is more “universal” and maybe more suitable for the most generic concerns.
Contacting them through community pages is certainly a form of feedback. But based on official responses, it won't be sufficient to renew the subscription due to the impossibility (or unavailability?) or undesirability of obtaining the account's exact email address at any given time within forum. Or for some other reasons. Where a letter to the specified email (equal to creating a bug report) is more acceptable.
So, as their current policy/instruction for situation when subscription is not extended before it expires (which is supposed to not happen if the beta testing is not abandoned by the user).
This is roughly how I understand the current situation. But I may be misunderstanding the concept / design of things.
