F-Secure keeps downloading the same update over and over again

My F-Secure has downloaded the same "Device Protection 1.0.2502.5119" update for a few weeks now. If I try to check for new updates, it always just downloads the same update. Why?

    It may just be the way F-Secure v25.2 now displays that information, as I'm on the same Device Protection version as well? So I don't know, but I'll track it on my end, too.

    Maybe the real definition numbers can be found in the scan log. I haven't tried it yet, or looked to notice, but run a Quick scan today, then one tomorrow and see if the scanning engines update or change. Unless someone here can give us a better explanation :) Otherwise, maybe this will help, see View Post below.

    Until we get a more definitive explanation from a Mod or employee than what was mentioned in my link above (and below), I did notice a difference in the number after device protection from yesterday to today, after the 1.0.2502.5119 number. FWIW.

    Same here, Device Protection 1.0.2502.5119, failed to install by 42%. Seems to be a general problem.

    There has got to be a linking of an update (definition updates?) corresponding to this number, as it is now on 8.20.49.114. But again, I'm just shooting in the dark until someone tells us more :)

    This appears to be a global problem. Can you please share the previous version of F-secure? You are unable to help with the problem. The program has been out of order for several weeks now due to the constant Device Protection updates. The problem has been occurring since the latest major F-secure update. Please help, the advice you give I can infer on my own. I expect professional help from people who know.

    Since I just volunteer my time, someone who is truly a professional needs to step up to the plate and acknowledge the v25.2 problems, yours and other posts, with a solution. Those who can truly help are @Firmy in helping or guiding and alerting an F-Secure employee and the like, who are the ones shown on the forum home page/F-Secure All Star.

    Maybe their biding their time until the v25.3 beta is publicly released, and then will tell those with these issues to uninstall v25.2 and install from My F-Secure v25.3 (Bug fixes…)? But that's just speculation on my part until we get a better answer from someone on the inside.

    We are looking into these issues, please be patient while we investigate. So far there are 2 things that are idenfified.

    1. Compatibility issue with another antivirus product.
    2. Compatibility issue with firewall.

    These can show up as constant malfunction requesting a reboot (reboot won't help). Firewall issue can also show up as failure to update databases.

    I have not seen any case where same update is successfully installed multiple times which is the first report in this thread.
