Release 19.3 beta 1 (build 52612 and build 52614)
We are pleased to announce the availability of a new release of FS Protection for Mac. This update is available for download from My FS Protection and delivery to existing installations will be started shortly.
Highlights of this release:
- New Safari extension, bringing feature parity with Mac and Windows Browsing protection features across all supported browsers. This will require user action to install the new Secure Browsing app from Apple's TestFlight service. The product should guide you through the process of installing the new extension.
- Improved update mechanism - note: to test a change in our internal update mechanisms, all users will receive two updates. They should be installed automatically 1-9 hours apart. If your product has not been updated to build 52614 within 48 hours after this post was published, please leave a comment on this forum and we will troubleshoot.
Known issues:
- Initial update may take up to an hour to complete. If the product UI still says "Waiting for initial update" or "Updating protection" more than 2 hours after upgrade or initial installation, please report it to us according to the below instructions. During the initial update process, your computer is still protected by F-Secure Security Cloud.
- After upgrade, a reboot might be needed before VPN can be enabled
These issues will be fixed in an upcoming beta release.
If you experience any issues, please report them in this forum. Please run "Support Tool" when the issue happens and be prepared to provide the resulting file if we requested. For issues related to Browsing protection and Parental control, remember to include any URLs that reproduce the problem in your bug report. You may also submit false positives and uncategorized web pages directly to F-Secure Labs using https://www.f-secure.com/en/web/labs_global/submit-a-sample#sample-url
As always, we welcome any feedback via the community pages!

Running 19.3 52614 on a Mac Pro Intel and Macbook Pro M1.
There no longer appears to be any indication of what Virus Database version is running. This used to show in the context menu in the menubar icon. But now only the fs protection version is showing there. If I launch fs protection, there is no indication in the settings screens or main menu either.
Please add display of the current virus database version back.

Hi, @bobbyw!
Thanks for the report. The database version was indeed hidden for the menubar app menu on purpose. This area is currently under big refactoring. The hiding part was done temporarily while the replacement logic is under development.
Not to worry. We will bring it back in one way or another. 😀

Hi,
after update 19.2 Beta 3, web browsing protection block now way too much website's.
You have to turn it off from Google Chrome, even to be able to use the online banking site.
I get this message if i keep browsing protection on:
www.googleadservices.com is blocked
This page has been blocked by an extension
Disable extensions.
ERR_BLOCKED_BY_CLIENT
When I turn protection off, all pages open correctly in every site's.
PC have latest Win 11 Pro 22H2 FI, Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22659.1000.0
