Vpn stopped working

Hi,

At some point today freedome stopped working for me on bbc, itv and channel 4.

I live in France.

Please tell me this is just a glitch...

I asked, and there was no help. They just said they couldn't do anything, because the streaming services are blocking IP addresses, and they have their set of IP's to use, which are not working. "There is not much we can about it" was the exact quote

How come we have not had any anouncement from Freedome?

Is anyone fixing it? Are there any solutions?

Tried Pure vpn which worked, but for less than 24 hours! So I got a refund. Trying surfshark at the moment which works with the android app but not on my Windows 10 laptop.

Hi @Cerstin12

Please have a look at this article here where turning off the Location feature on your device could help.

If the issue persists, kindly try the below steps;

1. Run the FlushDNS on affected device. For Windows 10 can be found here: https://support.4it.com.au/article/flush-dns-windows-10/

(Optional- Clear browser cache for desktop and Clear app cache for Smartphone)

2. Ensure that IPv6 is enabled for the device. You can refer these Windows and Mac, and refer these for Android, and for iOS.

3. Reboot device.

4. Turn Freedome ON and set virtual location as London to check iPlayer working again with your browser.

It does not work any longer. It did for a while. A friend of mine in Sweden tried it too, but with no luck.

Is Freedome going to do anything about it?

I don't think they can do anything about it. They are pretty small and probably inky have one server in the UK. I won't renew my subscription. Shame...
