Movin licens from one computer to another
Hi,
I have a 3 computer licens (internet Security 2013) and all of them are used.
I have now bought a new computer and would like to use the licens installed in a old one. I don't need 4 licenses 'cause one of the computers is gonna get thrown away, but I need to move the licens from it to the new one.
The question is how?...
/Dan.

This is how it worked for me last time.
Simply install F-Secure on the new computer with the license number you want to move.
You will be automatically be connected to the F-Secure license server which will tell you the licesnse is associated with another computer and asks if should it be changed.
Confirm the change. Job done.
Be aware the computer where the license used to be is no longer protected by F-Secure

Hi
You can uninstall the product from the old computer. That releases the license (assuming you are connected to Internet). Then when you install it to a new computer, the license is free and used automatically.
Or you can just throw the old computer away without uninstalling. When you install the product to a new computer, it will notify you that all licenses are in use and you have option to move license. If one computer is no longer present (in Internet), the license that it was using will get moved.

does that mean if im not connected to internet when i uninstall my program, the slot/license wont be released? there was a time that my manual scanning wasnt working and the tech support give me instruction to reinstall it, i do the reinstalling process offline because i dont have my keys that time

Reference "does that mean if im not connected to internet"
Yes, that has happened to me.
However, it would appear F-Secure have been changing the rules lately. The last time (approx. 2 months ago) I tried to move the license whilst connected to the internet, the F-Secure license server told me I had moved the license too often (from my memory twice, but with a previous licenses I had moved them 3 or 4 times, and also without an internet connection being required). The license server would not allow me to use my perfectly valid software key. On the F-Secure chat connection, I explained the situation and requested a change to be made on the license server to re-allow my software. After the request, the change was done within minutes and I was using F-Secure normally again within 5 minutes.
From what you write, I think you now have an newly offline installed F-Secure without the key having been entered.
I suggest you try to use F-Secure as normal and if it asks for the key, simply type it in as required. If it works, fine.
If it shows a licensing problem, you will most likely have to contact F-Secure. I am sure they will be very helpfull.

reference "got another question"
I am puzzled by what exactly you mean when you state that "4 license was used"
I can see which license of my licenses is used on each of my computers.
If the license is validated you can see the key by
clicking on hidden icons in the task bar, clicking on the F-Secure logo, clicking on the right hand F-Secure logo drop down menu and chosing "view my subscriptions", then click on "show subscription keys" in the window lower right corner.

If you uninstall while not connected to internet (or use uninstallation tool), the license is not released on the licensing server. This means that when you reinstall, you will see one extra device using a license. This is the previous installation as the license server has no way of knowing that it's the same computer.
Since you can move the license when installing if all of them are used, the problem is purely cosmetic. There is no limit on moving the licenses between computers.
