I have F-secure Total and after the VPN update that added the Hydra protocol I no longer see the options to enable tracking protection and adblock. Have these settings been removed? I get more ads in Chrome after enabling VPN than without VPN now...

    Hello @Mathis

    Thank you for your question.

After the update to version 25.2 and the introduction of the new VPN protocol, you might have noticed that the separate settings are no longer there on your Android device.

The way websites protect your information has changed, with more using strong encryption (HTTPS). Because of this, the previous method we used to block trackers and ads isn't as effective anymore. So, we had to re-evaluate the feature.

Even though those settings are gone, your F-Secure app is still working to keep you safe online. The VPN helps by making your connection private and hiding your location. We're always looking for new ways to protect you in this changing online world.

Thanks for your understanding. Have a lovely day.

I am using the latest f-secure and i haven't noticed more ads in Chome after update

Have you checked that in the latest version of F-Secure(25.4) in the scamming protection section the adblocking is on ?

According my knowledge Tracking Protection feature setting has been removed at least from the Windows version of the F-Secure app.
