New F-Secure app is still not working

F-Secure app still not working as it should.

After installing it is working okay. I can switch on/off VPN and can choose locations.

But after a reboot it stops working. The app doesn't auto-connect and I cant connect manually.

Only solution in to uninstall and reinstall.

But that only fixes it temporarily. After reboot it's not working again.

    Thank you for your reply.

    Could you please try uninstalling the application using the Uninstallation tool and then reinstalling it? You can find detailed instructions at this link.

    Regarding the logout issue on your iOS device, we will be releasing a hotfix to resolve the problem. I will inform you once the fix is released to production.

      Laptop

      -What is the operating system version of your device?
      Windows 10

      -Is the issue occurring on a single device or across multiple platforms?
      This issue single device, other issue on other device (iPhone)

      -Are you facing the issue on a specific network connection?
      Laptop only connects to WiFi @home.

      -Have you attempted to switch network connections and connect to the server?
      After a reboot there is no option to connect,
      The app doesn't auto connect, it doesn't show any locations and can't click the connect button.

      New issue in iPhone8 (iOS 16.7.8).
      App logs out / VPN configuration gone.
      So no auto connect and need to log in again and add new VPN config.
      Multiple times a day this happens, often after switching wifi/mobile internet.

    Only until the next restart, so max 1 day.

    On iPhone it's still not much better as well.
    Never easy to connect and often disconnecting by itself, mostly after switching from wifi to mobile and vice versa.

    Even Freedome VPN often had problems connecting and often needed to be reconnected manually to get a working VPN connection. But F-Secure is 10 times worse.

    For now using Proton free VPN which works 10 times better than (not free) F-Secure.
    Hoping F-Secure will fix all issues.

    To investigate the issue more thoroughly, we will need an FSDIAG. Please provide this diagnostic file through private chat and do not share it publicly in this forum. Follow the guidelines below to generate the FSDIAG:

    1. Enable debug logging.
    2. Reproduce the issue.
    3. Generate the FSDIAG.

    On iPhone it's still not much better as well.

    Regarding your network connection, when you switch networks, the VPN needs to re-establish the connection. Could you please let us know if the VPN goes into a "connecting" state after switching the connection? How long does it take to reconnect to the server?

    Additionally, please provide the following information:

    • Which version of the F-Secure app are you using?
    • Have you tried changing the VPN protocol?
    • Have you enabled the "Keep VPN on when the device is idle" setting?
    • Can you share your current VPN settings?
