So my computer has been slow this past week and when I opened task manager to see what was wrong I saw the f- secure hoster open which I have never seen before and saw that is was taking chunks of my cpu away and I just created an account to start this discussion but when I try to end the task or uninstall it just restricts me and denies access to me now to me this sounds like they have put a virus on my pc and would like to figure out why its on my pc or how to get rid of it or even to just stop it from my cpu off a cliff

    Hello @Alexandro

Welcome to the F-Secure Community. Thank you for your post.

It's possible that you have previously installed F-Secure products on your machine. The "fs hoster" is our scanning element. To ensure a complete removal from your machine, we recommend using our Uninstallation tool. You can find detailed instructions and assistance in this link: How do I uninstall F-Secure products using the Uninstallation Tool? - F-Secure Community

Please feel free to reach out if you need any further assistance. We're here to help.

Thank you, and have a great day.
