Is F-secure running on my computer?

I just subscribed to F-secure. I'd like to see what it is doing, including scans it has run and malware it has blocked. I'd also like to schedule a scan. But I don't see an option for either of those features when I log in.

I'd also like to create a quick link for my laptop home screen. I don't see an option for that either.

I am also only an F-Secure user. For a proper discussion - a little more information is needed. For example, which F-Secure solution is being used. I suppose F-Secure SAFE (or F-Secure TOTAL). And platform (for exampe, Windows).

I just subscribed to F-secure. 

Make sure F-Secure SAFE is installed on your device.

If you are trying to get this information on My F-Secure Portal. Then, I think this feature is not supported yet.

But you can find out all this information locally (in the system of your device). Via F-Secure SAFE interface and settings.

For 'scans it has run' and 'malware is has blocked' - related UI parts with statistics and last events. It is also possible to use "Recent Events" list - Event history: Viewing recent events for the product | SAFE | Latest | F-Secure User Guides

For 'schedule a scan' - there is a feature called - Scheduled scanning: Scheduling scans | SAFE | Latest | F-Secure User Guides

I'd also like to create a quick link for my laptop home screen. I don't see an option for that either.

Is it something like Windows desktop logo? Or, again, as part of website's / system feature for 'metro mode' (or so things).

As what @Ukko commented above, you have to install the app on your laptop to protect your laptop. You can install the app on your laptop from My F-Secure as described in this link https://community.f-secure.com/safe-en/kb/articles/5210-how-do-i-install-f-secure-safe-on-my-pc

After installing the app on your laptop, you will an option to run a scan and set up a schedule scanning. You can visit this link for more information on how to set up schedule scanning https://community.f-secure.com/safe-en/kb/articles/5173-how-do-i-schedule-a-scan

After the installation is done, you will see the icon/shortcut of the app in your laptop home screen/desktop view.
