Compatibility problem with Storage Spaces / ReFS

Hi all,

I am using F-Secure Internet Security 18.4 on a Widnows 11 Pro for Workstations system. Since updating Windows with the 22H2 update, I have got a problem with the real-time virus scanner.

When the real-time scanner is on and I try to copy files from an NTFS drive to a ReFS drive backed by storage spaces, the copy operation aborts after copying a file. Windows Explorer reports that the destination is no longer available, robocopy reports that the device is not ready. The file has been copied though and is present on the ReFS drive, the error messages appear after copying a single file and copying aborts.

Copying files within the ReFS drive works normally.

If I switch off the real-time scanner, I can copy files to the ReFS drive normally.

Does anyone has got an idea how to fix this issue?

Best regards,

Andreas

    Hi @Andreas4

Welcome to the F-Secure Community page and thank you for your post.

Kindly check for updates from SAFE and ensure the update is installed successfully.

After that, kindly do the copy process again and check if the issue remains.

If you are not able to install the updates, kindly reinstall SAFE How to reinstall F-Secure SAFE for Windows - F-Secure Community

Kindly let me know the outcome once you have done this.

    Thank you and stay safe.
