Activating a code during free trial

If i activate my 3 month subscription code, will the three months be added to the free one month that's already activated so there's a total of four months left on the subscription.

I am only an F-Secure user. Perhaps, need to know what is your solution. F-Secure SAFE, F-Secure Internet Security?

Also, is it 3 month subscription code or 3 month trial (I am not sure if there is a difference, but maybe only one trial period can be).

To be sure, you could ask official Support (web-chat, for example) with more information about solution / subscription type (it should be known for them): Contact F-Secure support | F-Secure (f-secure.com)
