Using Freedome Proxy shuts down access to many popular web-services

Otherwise the whole point of using Freedome becomes obsolete.
Hello,
Sorry for my reply. I'm also only F-Secure user (their home solutions).
And, also, just because your answer is not pinned to F-Secure Freedome directly (it may be about common topics and such technologies).
But, if I do able to understand it normally, Freedome is not Proxy.
It is a VPN solution/service/software. Although 'proxy'-functionality can be part of VPN.
And with my own feelings -> whole point of using Freedome is securing your network connection under untrusted and strange public Wi-Fi. While additional features (and other part of VPN) is well-promoted too.
What is "point of using Freedome" for you?
Thanks!

Hej Ukko, thank you. You are very helpful and nice. Now I know.
I am a researcher and try to access a publishers' database but it will not let me with Freedome Protection activated. Another example, with Freedome being activated, I can not access the external expense report service of my university. Seems like these services do not trust Freedome which leaves me with a problem I would like to solve.
Perhaps there is an alternative suggestion?

Hello,
Maybe your experience about another stuckpoint.
For example, does noted websites or services will create something like "you are using VPN or proxy; and it is restricted by us"?
If not -> maybe good to re-check that unability to use services are not based on F-Secure Freedome Tracking or Browsing Protection features.
For example, with Windows platform: Main UI F-Secure Freedome -> tabs for "Tracking" or "Browsing" Protection -> switch them OFF and re-check that still not possible to use noted websites.
Also, maybe certain website with limitations about IPs (for example, Danmark or Norge website will expect that will be danske or norsk IPs; So, maybe good to choose Virtual Location of Freedome with such meanings). Then -> maybe if these services are pinned to your own account (maybe some settings with restriction about your normal IP; Like it can be with mail-services. With certain situations -> when you login into your mail-account -> provider will alert that unexpected location is detected and will ask about verification; But if service does not provide such design about verification -> maybe entire connection is refused). Sorry, for my 'random' suggestions.
Thanks!

Additionally, possible to meet these situations:
Possible to expect that VPN (or proxy; or other related) services should be with some abilities to 'hide' or to create more undetectable design.... but, most likely, that it is not always legal (or unreasoned for service; for example, if another website has policy about blocking such technologies on their side; Then - my feelings - users with abilities to ask these 'third-parties' about allowing normal users with normal reasons about such technologies; otherwise -> unclear why users should to use these 'third-parties' at all; But if it is a good company or your Network Connection is 'trusted' -> not so many points to use VPN for access to their resources - since your connection is 'secured/protected' and website/service does not use any 'strange tracking activities or so'). And, yes, if required to use certain resource with 'hidden'-meanings -> most likely, available pretty large count of alternatives (or additions to any of VPN services; F-Secure FREEDOME included)
Thanks!
