Chrome Browser extension is extremely slow

I'm using Chrome Version 62.0.3202.94 (Official Build) (64-bit) on Windows 8 with Xfinity cable and the lag with F-Secure browser extension enabled is painfully slow. If I turn it off, no problem. What is the issue?

Maybe good to know some more points:

 

-- does it troubles with loading pages or just browser work? Or something else.

 

Generally -> possible to do fsdiag and then try to contact direct F-Secure Support Channels for proper advice:

Maybe some other experienced Chrome users with abilities to create some suggestiongs.

Also on a Mac this extension makes Chrome extremely slow.

Also happens with Firefox. If I turn browsing protection off, speeds are fine. If I turn it on, I get serious lag.
