F Secure Safe on Mac High Sierra - real time scanning issue

Hi all

 

I've just installed F-Secure on my mac and am being told I have 'real time scanning' issues. I head to preferences, unlock the preference menu to enable changes, and tick the 'real time scanning' radio button.

 

As soon as I navigate away from the screen the box unticks itself.

 

Does anyone have any clue on how to get this to stay on? I've re-installed the app and may try restarting my mac in a moment to see if this clears the issue.

 

Any help greatly appreciated!

Hi all

 

I managed to get through to F Secure on chat - this will be addressed in the new update of the software due to release shortly.

There was recently published Knowledgebase article for Bussiness Solution (Computer Protection):

basically.... it can be with close relation about Computer Protection and F-Secure SAFE (recent). Did you mean that you tried such recommended steps from article (I'm not friendly with Mac-platform)?

If not -> maybe possible to re-check this article?

I didn’t see that as was looking through the home user section.

 

I have tried to follow this and it seems also clicking “allow” under the “security and privacy” tab doesn’t do anything. 

 

Any further suggesions gratefully welcomed!

Maybe someone with good experience about Mac-platform (and F-Secure SAFE) will create some good advices.

But - if there will be stuck: possible to use direct F-Secure Support Channels (chat/phone):

At least, your situation sounds as this one with business-solution (or close to such). And if potential fix-steps did not work -> probably F-Secure should to investigate it.

I am unable to check the exact version at present; however I did both install and reinstall the programme yesterday.

Hi, I've the same problem.

It doesn't work. If I click "allow" in the Security Tab, nothing happens. If I click "real time protection" in the Safe Tab, when I go to another tab and I go back, the box is not selected again.

 

Whan can we do?

did not fix or helpful.

 

Maybe good to contact direct F-Secure Support Channels (chat as example):

It will be useful for their investigation or proper advices (or sort-steps). Then good to back with reply (for other users) - of course - if fresh article (by F-Secure) still will be not available..
