Browsing Protection does not install in Chrome after a SAFE installation in Windows

Symptoms

The Browsing Protection extension does not automatically install after installing SAFE on your PC.

Diagnosis

If you have manually removed the Browsing Protection extension from your Chrome browser before, this may have left traces of the extension in the Chrome settings, which can prevent automatic installation of the extension in the future. This is a feature of the Chrome browser and can only be bypassed by installing the extension manually.

Solution

To manually install the Browsing Protection extension in Chrome:

In your Chrome browser, open up the following link: Browsing Protection by F-Secure.
Select Add to Chrome.
Accept by selecting Add extension.
