How to prevent Huawei Ultra Power Saving mode from switching off the security app This article applies only to users having a Huawei phone.
This article describes how to prevent a Huawei phone from shutting down your security app and the set up Family Rules when Ultra Power Saving mode is turned on. This concerns especially users with children because the child's app will be killed by the Ultra Power Saving mode unless prevented from shutting down. It will also switch off any family rules that the parents may have set up for the child's phone.
To prevent the Ultra Power Saving mode from switching off the security app:
- Turn on the Ultra Power Saving mode:
- When activating the security app on your child's phone and once the Ultra Power Saving mode page is shown, tap Settings. The Optimize battery usage page opens.
- To turn on the Ultra Power Saving mode, tap first the Ultra power saving mode button and then Enable. Your phone is now in Ultra Power Saving mode. The page lists all the apps that are running even when the Ultra Power Saving mode is turned on.
- Add your security app to the list of apps that run when the Ultra Power Saving mode is turned on:
- Tap one of the empty squares. A list of the apps installed on your phone is shown.
- Choose your security app from the list to add it to the list of apps that run when the Ultra Power Saving mode is turned on.
- Once your security app is on the list, tap its icon to start the app. Your security app is now running on Ultra Power Saving mode.
- When the Ultra Power Saving mode page is shown, tap Continue and follow the instructions to turn on accessibility.
From now on, the security app continues to run even when the Ultra Power Saving mode is turned on.
Note: The Ultra Power Saving mode is quite aggressive on power management, and it may prevent some features, such as Finder, from functioning properly.
