Me: Iphone 5.1, IOS 7.1.2 , Freedome Version 2.0.5.1238

I was having issues with the Freedome VPN, after two months of no problems. I followed the instructions, by Freedome, to fix this problem. After multipe attempts I eventually deleted the app and re installed it.

I have a strong internet signal, but keep getting the same error from Freedome; Failed to download server configuration. Please check you internet connection and try again. Error code = -1001

Is my being in China right now any issue?

Yes, I think so. Some VPN apps have become not available in China while they used to work.

My solution is to find a VPN app still works inside GFW first, in my case, Global VPN, and then reinstall Freedome VPN profile.
