Does anyone know if there is a rescue cd/dvd for Windows 7 x64? I only find for x86 systems.

Would say you need the Win7 64 installation DVD and you are sorted.

If rescue is not working you can make a fresh install of the system. Win 7 will move the old installation in a separate place therefore you will not loose data if you have safed all in under your user profile.

Once the system is back up you can brows to the old installation and copy your data to new installation.

That works as well with Win Vista

    Hi,

the F-Secure Rescue CD is based on Linux and scans NTFS-Drives too.

The OS that you use is completely irrelevant!

Please check the root folder of the dvd. If it contains a single file (*.iso), download ImgBurn or something similar supporting proper writing of ISO files.

    ImgBurn is here http://www.imgburn.com/
