Can't install F-secure Total app on Android phone
Hello!
I have a problem of installing F-Secure Total app Android from Google Play Store.
The situation is like this: I have two identical Motorola Moto G8 Power phones, both with latest system updates (Android 11). On the other phone, F-Secure Total installs and runs fine, but on the other one Google Play Store tells me that the app is not available/compatible with my phone.
I have tried to clear Play Store cache, didn't help.
This is weird, because we're talking about two same phone models with same updates. Shouldn't the app be compatible with both of them?
On the other hand, Kiren installs fine on both, but that requires additional payment for subscription, and that's something I don't want to do, because I already subscribed for F-Secure Total for 7 devices.

Hello,
Basically, I think the situation might look like this:
- current F-Secure TOTAL app is Android 12+ (based on this Online Help / Guide: System requirements);
- F-Secure TOTAL app was installed on your Motorola Moto G8 Power (running Android 11) quite some time ago. It has likely become stuck on an older version or build; it still works, but it hasn't been updated to the current version already. Unless you uninstall - you can still use it there.
As a result, you cannot install F-Secure Total app with your another Motorola Moto G8 Power 'today'.
And, probably, can't do so with the first device as "reinstallation" or clean installation 'today'.
On the other phone, F-Secure Total installs and runs fine,
Or did you mean that you succeeded in doing it? Is it possible that installation was a kind of 'restoring' from backup or something like mentioned cache or whatever? I am not really familiar with Android design - so I am not sure of possibilities.
Kiren by F-Secure app with "Android 11+" requirement (can't find a reference now, but it was something like this when I checked; and it is so with F-Secure Mobile Security). So, both devices are valid.
// Android 12+ requirement is probably since August this year (with 26.8 version). But I can't find sure information about. If you tried after august - and installation was possible on Android 11, then strange.

Thanks for the reply. You're right. On the first phone, F-Secure Total was installed some time ago, something like year or so. And it seems after that the system requirements changed, as you wrote.
That's just unfortunate for me.
But, I'm now using F-Secure Kiren on the second phone, bought the subscription for one year with the great launch discount. So I'm protected on both phones. All is good for now.
