Sorry for off-topic. And if I misunderstood this subject part of the discussion.

Coming soon will be a free upgrade, that will still include the VPN.

Is it so? I mean, I though that F-Secure TOTAL ('F-Secure: Total Security & VPN' app / branding in Google Play or App Store) will remain as it is (while improving or adding/removing functionality).

And referenced 'Kiren upgrade/update' is related only to 'relaunched' "F-Secure Mobile Security" app (formerly Lookout Life). Which had its own dedicated account (?) and even some guides are unique. I am not sure that F-Secure Mobile Security (exLookout Life) was with feature comparable to Privacy VPN (or just 'VPN') in TOTAL app.

In principle, both solutions were comparable in terms of capabilities to some extent. F-Secure Total App (I think) incorporated some of those features into its own suite. Consequently, "Kiren" would now act as a mobile-oriented, next-generation application within the F-Secure portfolio. 'Scam Protection' as they said.

It would make sense to unify everything, but I haven't seen any mention of that. Was there actually any such talk? And will F-Secure Total also get this, so to speak, upgrade?

Well, essentially, these are just my speculation. I am not at all certain, it is just my feelings about.

As such, I would have expected F-Secure Mobile Security to be folded into the F-Secure Total offering, or for the two solutions to be unified in some way - at least on mobile platforms. However, spinning off a solution into a separate entity is an interesting move too (like with "Kiren"). And, of course, it is still quite possible this might eventually become part of the F-Secure Total subscription. Or any other surprise. Good or bad.

And I am not sure either about current set of features within 'F-Secure Mobile Security' and 'Kiren by F-Secure'. Somehow my devices are always not supported.

I think what also threw me off is that I would receive a email notification for something other than what I was subscribed to, Total and I.S. But, I guess when you have this allowed, you're going to be updated about most things F-Secure related?

Well, I would expect so. But, for example, my 'pots' to receive information are empty. Nothing at all about "Kiren" or changes with F-Secure Mobile Security.

I think, maybe there is relation to region. Maybe US-based paid customers or something like this. Especially, if Lookout's consumer business was mostly organised there.

Their Password Manager offer was also quite impressive (as for me) in terms of usage workflows. Still.. it can be nice to touch it from time to time.

Because before acquisition of Lookout Life - there was a F-Secure Mobile Security (unrelated to current one; AND before / during F-Secure Total app) which reached EoL and discontinued partially (with very tricky ways to get it; and / or mostly related to future WithSecure solution). Then Lookout Life / Lookout AV (rebranded to F-Secure Corporation offer) to F-Secure Mobile Security and now maybe to Kiren by F-Secure. Always with distinct set of features.
