Importing from passwords from 1Password

Hi,

I tried following the instructions in an earlier post about importing passwords from 1Password, but my attempts fail. I can export a .csv file from 1Password, but when trying to drop the file to the F-Secure vault import functionality under KeePassX V2 (as per the earlier post's instructions), the app keeps prompting me with an error (wrong file format, in Finnish "Virheellinen tiedostomuoto"). Is there an updated procedure about how to do this (the earlier post was from 2024)?

My 1Password subscription will renew at the end of the week, so if not solved by then, I will remain their customer. Hope someone can help quickly!

    Although it might be nice to understand how to deal with this situation now. If you want some official advice, try contacting their official support channels (web chat or phone call) here: https://www.f-secure.com/en/support (or your local page; provided URL is the 'global' one).

    I am not familiar with 1Password's design, so I can't say anything specific. But I would try the following in this situation:

    • to check exporting only certain parts of 'vault' / 'vaults' (if possible). making it more 'compatible' with F-Secure Password Vault fields.
    • to check using other options in "Import" list (just for sure).
    • temporarily install/use for import 1Password file to 'clearly supported' solution. Export, then, there and import it with F-Secure Password Vault.

    Anyway, good if someone will guide you better and officially.
