Re-installation of Internet 2011

I am trying to re-install Internet 2011 after having to re-install Windows XP.

The installation accepts the sub key OK, but the installation stops halfway though.

When I re-installed Windows I formatted the partition so it was completly clean.

Any advice would be appreciated.

    Hi djacks,

Please check if you have the latest Windows XP sp3 and WIndows Installer 4.5 installed. If not, kindly upgrade both.

    Windows XP sp3:

    WIndows Installer 4.5:

    Hello Jason,

It looks as though the Windows Installer was corrupted when I re-installed Windows XP.

I had used the quick format

I re-installed Windows again, but used the full format.and not the quick one.

This time the F-secure programme loaded up OK and is running fine.

It looks as though the quick format does not always clear everything.

    A salutory lesson for me!

    Many thanks for your help.

    Best Regard,

    David

I remember having the same problem once. Where my XP OS is not working so I was forced to upgrade to Windows 7. So far everything is working just great. image
