Constant message about updating

If you click the F-Secure icon in the menubar, it will tell you either "Waiting for initial update" or "Database update in progress". If it still says "Waiting for initial update" over a day after installation, you should contact support so that we can gather correct diagnostics from your computer.

If it says "Database update in progress" it is the normal update process where the product checks for updates to the anti-malware database every hour. However each check typically takes only a few seconds up to a couple of minutes, so if this message never goes away it might be a symptom that something is wrong. In that case please contact customer support and they will gather the correct diagnostics so that we can troubleshoot your issue properly.
