Running out of Mobile Data

I have a problem with the F-Secure app on my iPhone. I have a trusted network I want the app to use, but when I have restarted my iPhone for security reasons, the app connects to the 5G network first. After a few seconds, the trusted network is used by my iPhone, but the F-secure app Is still connected to the 5G network. I can force it to connect to the trusted network by disabling it and enabling, but sometimes I forget and it becomes a problem when I run out of Mobile Data. When I need to use Mobile Data on the 5G network, I don't have any, and it happens in the middle of the period. Any suggestions except a better memory?

Hello, Sorry for my reply. I am only an F-Secure user. I have no idea how the solution works on iOS, but I looked at guides and documentation and I have some things to ask: - does your device connect to this trusted Wi-Fi network (using the same scenario steps) if the mobile network is disabled / turned off before trying?
This old online help says ""If you enable automatic WiFi protection for untrusted WiFi networks, F-Secure VPN will not turn on when entering a trusted network"", while it is not clear whether this new online help is talking about the same thing or not. I mean, "WiFi Protection" is the same in both places(?!); and if so - does it apply to your use case like ""will not turn on when entering a trusted network"". Sorry for any confusion if online guides/help contain outdate and unrelated information that does not reflect current state of the app's design.

Hi! I have tried now, but the problems remain. System Services consume 68 MB in three days while the F-Secure app consumes 570 MB in the same period. I can also see on the battery levels that the F-secure app consumes 35% of the power in a day. The F-Secure app can consume 50 MB in ten minutes without me having done anything on my iPhone. Something is wrong with the App. I had this problem with iOS 18 as well. I will not use it on my iPhone.

Hello, Well… if after restart it continues to connect to mobile data instead of Wi-Fi when using VPN (and connects to Wi-Fi successfully if mobile data is turned off); and if 'trusted network' or 'wi-fi protection' are not related to the reasons, I will suggest to contact their Support directly. Just to open 'a ticket' (f-secure.com/support) and then use this feature as an additional step (if Support agent cannot to sort it out immediately): https://help.f-secure.com/product.html?home/freedome-ios/latest/en/id_77453-latest-en (or any other way they suggest). // in general, F-Secure will most likely be the "cause" of all data consumption if it's done through a VPN. However, it's not always the one creating the "load" or being the source of it. Thanks!
