    Hello everyone,
Now I'm having problems again. I can't connect to VPN anymore. Not with Hydra or any of the others. No country/server works. It spins and spins in an endless loop, but I can't connect. And it's been like this for 3 days now.

What's going on here? Everything was working again. Slowly, it's getting really bad and it makes you sad.

I can't find any tips for solving this problem here either.

I've been typing for 5 minutes now and it's still spinning in circles. I haven't changed anything. After work, I turn on the computer and that's it. When I go to bed, I turn it off. I'm slowly starting to not understand anything anymore.

For a while, it still worked when switched on manually, but now that doesn't work either.

I'm starting to think it's getting worse rather than better. Every week there's update after update, and all you get is the black card.

It works fine on Android, but on Windows it's always such a hassle.

Bank protection and online trading also work, but this ****** (πŸ€πŸ€πŸ™Š) VPN is causing nothing but problems here.

    πŸ˜ͺπŸ˜‘πŸ˜€ Please help

    Hello @ReneWAS

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

There is a known issue where a non-working IPv6 DNS server may disrupt VPN2 operations. As a workaround, we recommend the following steps:

    • Disable DHCP-based DNS servers, and
    • Manually configure a reliable IPv4 DNS server, such as:
      • 1.1.1.1 (Cloudflare)
      • 8.8.8.8 (Google)

This may help resolve the issue by ensuring proper DNS resolution over IPv4 while avoiding potential conflicts from IPv6-based DNS servers.

Please give this a try and let us know the outcome. If the issue persists, we're happy to assist you further.

Thank you again, and have a lovely day.

I don't quite understand why customers are being advised to disable necessary PC features and protocols in order to find software bugs in their own products. You would think that a $390 million listed company could afford test equipment and environments to test their own software. Nowadays, even ever-evolving artificial intelligence agents are available for that task.Could you clarify this a bit more thank you ?

    Hello @JOnes

Thank you for your message and for sharing your thoughts.

We completely understand your concern, and you’ve raised a valid point. Disabling IPv6 is suggested as a temporary troubleshooting step to help narrow down the cause of the issue, not as a permanent solution. In some cases, certain underlying network conditions may not handle IPv6 traffic as expected, which can result in the kind of behaviour some users have reported, such as the VPN getting stuck on "loading."

We want to reassure you that these steps are part of a broader diagnostic process to help our teams isolate and address compatibility issues as efficiently as possible. While our software is thoroughly tested in a variety of environments, the diversity of real-world setups β€” including different operating systems, drivers, networks, and third-party software β€” means that some issues only appear under specific conditions.

That said, I would also like to clarify and correct the previous recommendation. The intended workaround for this specific VPN connection issue involves a known case where a non-working IPv6 DNS server may interfere with VPN operations.

As a more targeted approach, we suggest the following:

    • Disable DHCP-based DNS servers, and
    • Manually configure a reliable IPv4 DNS server, such as:
      • 1.1.1.1 (Cloudflare)
      • 8.8.8.8 (Google)

This method avoids dependency on potentially problematic IPv6 DNS resolution while still keeping IPv6 otherwise enabled.

If the issue continues even after applying this workaround, we recommend generating a new fsdiag so we can investigate further.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you need help with any of the steps. We truly appreciate your feedback and your patience as we work to improve the product.

Thank you again, and have a lovely day.

Hello Firmy, thank you for your prompt response. I am very pleased that you are trying to help. Quick question: I understand what you are trying to tell me, but how do I proceed? To do this

Disable DHCP-based DNS servers andmanually configure a reliable IPv4 DNS server, e.g.:1.1.1.1 (Cloudflare)8.8.8.8 (Google)

I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. You need to explain it to me again.

Where exactly do I set this up in FS Total?

    Thanks, Firmy and Jones.

I was too curious to see how it would work. VPN is now reconnected. πŸ˜‰

I searched for it more extensively.

Thank you, I wouldn't have known if I hadn't asked here. Thank you for now.

If you have a better solution, do you have to change it again?❓️❓️
