Banking protection

Can you confirm that when you navigate to the bank site and click our extension icon (you may need to pin it in browser to make it visible) it looks something like this.
This is a screenshot from our beta program (fs protection). However the important part is the second line which says "This website looks safe". On the left of that you should have the icon that is shown here, which indicates it's a banking site. It should also have a green checkmark. This ensures that the extension is properly connected to the app and can get rating information from it.

Hi @PGC
Did you ever get this figured out, where the Banking protection is at least enabling on most sites?
F-Secure came out with the option to add a site onto it through the Settings of v25.4.
Manual banking protection activation
You can manually activate banking protection on specific websites by adding them to a custom Banking list under Scam Protection → Manage allowed and blocked websites.
I just entered one in, and it worked great.
I hope this helps…at least for someone :)

Hello,
Sorry for intruding on the discussion.
Considering the fact that you were able to try the recently added feature - then as I understand it, Windows 10 has the current version (not 32bit one, not lower than a certain build) and the F-Secure solution is updated successfully.
Ruling that out - it remains to be seen whether it is only Banking Protection that is not working (in one form or another) or whether the entire F-Secure solution is acting up.
Could you try some things to check what is working and what is not:
- [[based on this feature: Clear the clipboard after banking sessions]] can you try to copy something in clipboard, like 'text' by Ctrl+C, then try to visit banking website (let's say, https://nordea.no), then close it and try put copied text from clipboard by Ctrl+P. If it is not possible - then - maybe banking protection functionality is working, but just green frame is not visible;
- so, can you locate then path/directory like (C:\Program Files\F-Secure\TOTAL\net8) or whatever related to your system. There try to locate executable with filename (fsbanking.exe) and run it. On my system it just tried to make a green frame for a couple of seconds (or even milliseconds) and disappeared; which, it seems to me, should be a normal result in your case as well. If it is not possible - then - maybe that's the trouble.
If these checks will bring something - probably - it is possible to dig more. For example, if some other parts are not working as well (which could be related to the reason).
// however, I would start from double checking KB article mentioned in original Firmy's comment: https://www.kb.f-secure.com/s/article/Banking-Protection-banner-does-not-work-or-appear-when-I-visit-a-banking-site?language=en_US
With browser extensions - it worth to check that other features working like 'search rating logos' in search results of Google Search / Yahoo Search / Bing Search / DuckDuckGo - because what if extension is installed, is marked as active, but not working in your case. Surely banking protection hugely pinned to browser addon/extension. As well as, using website via HTTPS (which is now can be bypassed by local list of manually added websites for banking protection).
Thanks!

with a excellent reply like that, you can "intrude" anytime you want :) :)
Well, yes, maybe. :)
But more excellent thing is to gather fsdiag logs and share them with development or support teams with a little help from certified people (as you suggest). Because if banking protection fails, in most cases it will be visible there; and quite often the reason will be a bit more clear.
just in case there is a delay with this - I think it would be possible to try some sorts of things (what if suddenly it would lead to something useful). but it is such a random thing that it can be connected with anything (discarding all simple reasons), like some problems with Microsoft Windows Desktop Runtime installation and some local system or computer settings (multiple monitors or some restrictions). But as for me - then there should be some other problems or factors besides the lack of greenframe.
// fsdiag logs from a system where the trouble is easily reproducible or exists are likely the best step. by the way, just as from MOKT there (https://community.f-secure.com/en/discussion/comment/141305/#Comment_141305) since Firmy is pinged. :)
