Changing from WLAN to phone network or vice versa not working

The problem is, that when changing from home WLAN to public phone network, the VPN does not connect automatically. It needs to re-connect manually (switch off and on). The same happens when switching back to home WLAN.
Also, where did the 'trusted network' go from Android app, and what is the meaning of the different VPN protocols (Hydra, WireGuard and OpenVPN), why does the user have to select one of these?

Hello @V121
Thank you for your question.
We are aware of the issue with VPN reconnecting after network changes and are actively investigating it. We will inform you once it’s resolved. For more details, you can refer to the issue here: [Android] VPN Stuck on Activating After Network Change.
Regarding your trusted network, to allow connections to other devices within the same network while the VPN is active, please enable the “Connect to local devices” option.
To clarify the different VPN protocols (Hydra, WireGuard, and OpenVPN): These are different methods that F-Secure VPN uses to establish a secure connection. Hydra is F-Secure’s own protocol, designed to provide a good balance of speed and security, especially on mobile devices. WireGuard is a newer, faster protocol that uses modern encryption for excellent performance and security. OpenVPN is a traditional protocol, known for its strong security, but it may be a bit slower compared to the others.
You will need to select one of these protocols because each has its unique advantages. For most users, Hydra or WireGuard will offer the best combination of speed and security. However, OpenVPN may be more suitable if you need wider compatibility or prefer a well-established protocol.
In most cases, the app will automatically select the best protocol for you, but you can manually choose another option if you feel it works better for your connection. For more information, feel free to check: Elevate your online experience with our new VPN technology!
Thank you, and have a wonderful day.

The present F-Secure VPN for Android is totally useless. Every time I go outside of my WLAN and return, I have to reconnect the VPN manually (even coming back to same WLAN). After my present contract ends, I don't think to renew my subscription. For good sake? You are a datasecurity company. How reliable are other F-Secure programs?
