Why painfully slow browsing?

Browsing with Edge or Chrome and using F-Secure Total is extremely slow - loading sites gets repeatedly discontinued due to too slow response - what can be done ?

The problem you describe may be related to the following issue.

We have successfully identified the root cause of the issue. It appears that the recent updates to all Chromium-based browsers, including Edge, Chrome, and Brave, to version 124, have introduced a new feature called "TLS 1.3 hybridized Kyber support." This feature seems to be causing difficulties with our VPN service. We are currently conducting further investigation into this matter.

In the interim, as a workaround, we recommend disabling this feature in your browser settings. You can do this by accessing chrome://flags or edge://flags. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work to resolve this issue.

Yeah that's most likely their vpn. I have vpn bypass rule for firefox and it might still experience ultimate delay even though it should bypass the vpn. The issue is that they force you to use their dns which is very slow.

Could you @Firmy @F-Secure_Patrick & Co check the proper operation of the dns servers used in F-secure vpn connections,specially in Finland (ipconfig /all | findstr DNS )

it would be nice if that article was also published in another language of the community(finnish),and clearly placed on the community's front page

Hi - thanks for the help - I did finally find the earlier discussion - the problem was that due to the slow responses logging in was a pain. I made the changes as proposed - and the problem has disappeared. Many thanks for the responses

I have had similar problems.

Is the issue fixed with an uppdate or should I try the workaround?
