    Release 19.2 beta 1 (build 51453)

    We are pleased to announce the availability of a new release of FS Protection for Mac. This update is available for download from My FS Protection and delivery to existing installations will be started shortly.

    Highlights of this release:

    • Migration of Chrome and Firefox extensions to use shared codebase with PC version of FS Protection client. Starting from this release, Mac and PC clients will use the same extension codebase which will improve maintainability and feature parity.
    • Massive Settings UI refactoring to align to new spec
    • Settings UI bugfix for "Submit a sample" button not being set to hidden when no link set in the product to handle the action
    • Other minor improvements and bug fixes

    Known issues:

    • Some texts are missing localisations. Will be addressed in the upcoming releases.

    If you experience any issues, please run the "Support Tool" in the Applications -> "fs protection" folder and submit a bug report with the file created to allow us to investigate the issue. For issues related to Browsing protection and Parental control, remember to include any URLs that reproduce the problem in your bug report. You may also submit false positives and uncategorized web pages directly to F-Secure Labs using https://www.f-secure.com/sas?a=url.

    Release 19.2 beta 2 (build 51656)

    We are pleased to announce the availability of a new release of FS Protection for Mac. This update is available for download from My FS Protection and delivery to existing installations will be started shortly.

    Highlights of this release:

    • Improved Banking protection functionality. FS Protection for Mac is now able to block websites which are not rated safe for banking during an active banking session
    • Improved DuckDuckGo page layout detection for safety rating displaying
    • Improved stability of main UI window (could sporadically close when connecting to Password Vault process)
    • Improved messaging for cases when notifications are not allowed by the customer

    Known issues:

    • Some texts are missing localisations. Will be addressed in the upcoming releases.
    • Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox browsers must be restarted for extensions to start working again. THis behaviour will be adjusted with a browser extension update.

    We are pleased to announce the availability of a new release of FS Protection for Mac. This update is available for download from My FS Protection and delivery to existing installations will be started shortly.

    Highlights of this release:

    • New product settings UI element to control Browsing Protection safety ratings visibility
    • Browsing Protection stability improvements to cover product upgrade case
    • Banking Protection feature behaviour fixed (UI toggles did not affect how feature was working)
    • Product upgrade functionality fixed on macOS 14 Sonoma beta 1
    • Stability of license activation to reduce load on backend systems

    Known issues:

    • Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox browsers must be restarted for extensions to start working again. This behaviour is already fixed but will only take effect for the next release.

    We are pleased to announce the availability of a new release of FS Protection for Mac. This update is available for download from My FS Protection and delivery to existing installations will be started shortly.

    Highlights of this release:

    • Settings UI scanning exclusions improvements (state preserving)
    • Anti-Virus definition database update process improvements (the initial update after product installation should happen faster)

    Known issues:

    • All known issues mentioned in earlier releases have been addressed
