FS Protection for Mac 18.3 releases

Release 18.3 beta 3 (build 44398)

We are pleased to announce the availability of a new release of FS Protection for Mac. This update is available for download from My FS Protection and delivery to existing installations will be started shortly.

Highlights of this release include:

• Various Password Vault feature improvements and bugfixes
• On-access scanner performance improvements for macOS Mail app
• Restored "Clear caches" functionality for clearing file&URL reputation verdict caches. Can be invoked from the menubar app dropdown menu by holding Alt (Option)
• FS Protection Firefox extension has been moved out of the store due to Mozilla restrictions. Action expected: reinstall after the product removes the older no longer maintained version

Important note related to macOS 13.0 Ventura support:

As of now, macOS 13.0 Ventura is not officially supported. Our initial tests reveal that the FS Protection upgrade process does not complete as expected when run on macOS Ventura. Please do not use FS Protection with macOS Ventura for the time being. We are investigating the compatibility issues and working on resolving them as soon as possible. We will make an official announcement when it is safe to use FS Protection with macOS Ventura.

We are pleased to announce the availability of a new release of FS Protection for Mac. This update is available for download from My FS Protection and delivery to existing installations will be started shortly.

Highlights of this release include:

• Adjustments for macOS Ventura changes in Gatekeeper behavior. The functionality has been tested against the latest macOS Ventura beta 3 (public beta build). Action required for users who are already running macOS Ventura: Please download the FS Protection installer from My FS Protection portal and run it manually to upgrade to beta 7. Earlier versions of FS Protection will not be able to upgrade to beta 7 due to changes in macOS Ventura Gatekeeper behavior. This should be a one-time action
• Updating browser extension logic to support latest Google pages layout
• Updating Banking Protection to properly support ".co.jp" domains
