Changing covered devices

Before you install F-Secure SAFE to a new computer, if you will no longer use the old one, it is best to release the SAFE license from the old computer so it can be used on the new one. Follow the steps below to release the license and install F-Secure SAFE on the new computer.

On Windows:

Part A: Release License

1. Log in to My F-Secure
2. On the My F-Secure page, click the device that you want to release a license from (This brings up a window with basic details about that device)
3. Click Release license (This frees up a license that you can now use on another device)

Part B: Add Device

1. Once logged into your My F-secure account, click +Add device
2. Choose My Device
3. Choose This computer
4. Click Download for Windows
5. Run the installation file and follow the on-screen instructions

Once the installation is complete, the F-Secure SAFE application will display "Your computer is protected".

On Mac:

Part A: Release License

1. Log in to My F-Secure

Part B: Remove old F-Secure SAFE installation

1. Open Finder
2. Go to Programs/ Applications
3. Open the F-Secure folder 
4. Run the Uninstall F-Secure SAFE file

Part C: Add Device

1. Once logged into your My F-secure account, click +Add device
2. Choose My Device
3. Choose This computer
4. Click Download for Windows
5. Run the installation file and follow the on-screen instructions
