F-Secure SAFE slow down my VMWare Fusion 12 with the VMWare sharing folder.

After I installed F-Secure SAFE, when I'm using VMWare Fusion and connect to a VM and sharing folder with a usb device, it is very slow to browsing directories and files
in the sharing folder in the VM, e.g. click the directory name to go to the directory content, whatever there is no files or sub directories, it will take more than 30 sec.
By the way, that sharing folder is in an external SSD.
It is very bothering to me and force me to uninstall F-Secure.
Is there any solution to fix it?

Are you using F-Secure SAFE and VMware Fusion on same machine? May I know what version of operating system running on your machine?
Could you please try exclude the default VM machine location i.e ~/Documents/Virtual Machines? You can exclude those entire folders, for example. from Realtime scanning.
