FSecure Freedome VPN and pfsense firewall ?

in F-Secure VPN

Anyway the FSecure people would support setup Freedome VPN with the pfsense firewall?

I sincerely hope so, otherwise I will have to switch, sigh...

    Freedome VPN overrides the pfsense DNS Resolver.

    I need help to not have this happen.

    Hi @buggz2k

    May I know in which operating system that you have installed pfsense and Freedome VPN?

    You can refer this KB article to see what protocols are used by Freedome. Did you allow the protocol in your pfsense firewall?

    Sometime you need to add the port numbers that can be found here in your home network in order to connect Freedome.

    I have a standalone pfsense box. 

    Of course, it is the community version of Netgate FreeBSD that anyone can download and use.

    2.4.5-RELEASE-p1 (amd64)

    I have been enjoying the use of FSecure Freedome VPN on my Windows 10 stations for some years now.

    I was wanting to integrate the VPN to the pfsense station, like the instructions NordVPN has:

    Currently, I have no problems running the VPN client seperately on each Windows 10 station.

    I also learn that the VPN will force the use of its own DNS, this seems to be the case for every VPN?

    I was also wanting the VPN to use the pfsense DNS Resolver. Is this possible?

    However, the guide itself is very informative.

    I would be willing to beta test any guide FSecure comes up with.

    Any thoughts from Fsecure on the information needed to inegrate with pfsense?

    Please find the response from our Freedome team "We don't currently have plans to add that functionality(FSecure Freedome VPN integration with pfsense.)."

    Sure would be a nice plus to have, I would help test, etc...

    It would cover all OS types.
