iPhone X and Freedome Wifi symbol not showing up

in F-Secure VPN

So I work with someone who has an iPhone X S and when he is on freedome, the wifi symbol completely disappears on his phone. If he jumps off Freedome, it comes back. We looked and the wifi shows connected in settings, but again the symbol disappears when joining the VPN. Any suggestions or knowledge of what is going on with that?

    Hello @DarkNES04 

     

    It might be due to the screen size that the Wi-Fi icon is not showing up in the top corner but once the screen is scrolled down, the icon should be visible.

     

    Please scroll down from the right hand top corner to see if the icon is visible.
