Scanning a disk just stops in the middle?

I wonder why FS IS 2012 occasionally stops scanning a disk randomly in the middle. Eg I'm currently manually scanning a local 1TB disk and FSSM32 used almost all cpu for over an hour and then just stopped.

The "Scan wizard" status screen screen froze at "168862 Scanned Items"

and nothing happening any more, no error msg - nothing.

Brand new FSIS 2012, Windows XP SP3.

Anybody else with similar experience?

    Maybe it depends on your system specs. Since you have 1TB to scan, it might take a while and sometimes scanning stopped in the middle. I haven't encountered this problem more than once though.image
