Option to disable internet when disconnected or get a clear warning

Sometimes Freedome disconnects and I don't see it. I would like to have an option to set a clear warning like a red blinking icon in the menu bar (Mac), an alert message that doesn't disappear, or even total disconnection from the internet. For Windows and Android similar options.

If internet is disconnected, it should of course be possible to connect with one or two clicks, but then it's a conscious decision.

This all should be optional, and disconnecting should not be the default setting. But I guess most of us are power users, so I wonder who would want to see these options?
