Android phone can be wiped out remotely

Hi i have read tha android phone can be wiped out remotely so if i wana secure my company phone to avoid deleting my personal info and other data by some other colleague, dose this possible?

Disable the Remote Controls in your Android device.
- Settings > Location and security > Remote controls
