Infinite booting requests/ SAFE
Hi,
One of our users is installing SAFE for home use and get inifinite booting request
as described here:
https://community.f-secure.com/t5/F-Secure-SAFE/Infinite-reboot-at-quot/td-p/84917
It is not an option to ask end users to run debug tools.
Any idea on how to resolve?

Hello,
Sorry for my reply. I'm also only F-Secure user;
Does F-Secure Uninstallation Tool also marked as "debug tool"?
If not -> maybe an option: "cancel installation"; restart system and then try to use F-Secure Uninstallation Tool; and then try to install F-Secure SAFE else one time.
Maybe good to re-check that any other security software also uninstalled (before try to install F-Secure SAFE). OR if it was -> time to time can be useful to use 'their' own uninstallation/removal tool too (even it uninstalled by common steps or so);
Also certified help can be with direct F-Secure Support Channels (chat/phone):

Thanks!

Hello,
I also able to add that I provided URL for "previous" F-Secure Uninstallation Tool; Because I able to suspect that 'potential stuck' for F-Secure files/installation can be about previous builds;
But recently F-Secure also released fresh Uninstallation Tool (?! maybe works only for fresh builds/logs):
https://download.sp.f-secure.com/uninstallationtool/FsUninstallationTool.exe
Good to use recent updated F-Secure Uninstallation tool ^;
// edited
Just as information (if there still stuck and maybe good to re-check such meanings too);

Hey,
FWIW https://download.sp.f-secure.com/uninstallationtool/readme.txt is sitting next to the file. It's no longer just for new releases and beta. (links from https://www.f-secure.com/en_GB/web/home_gb/support-tools now point to the new location)

Thanks for the information!
I did not re-check it before my previous reply and did notice that "Version 17.0 build 123" released (with such changes); Last my check was before yesterday/today (if it released recently);
Thanks!
I feel strange that fresh build of F-Secure Uninstallation tool with drop-status for "Found:Yes/No" feature for items to uninstall; Not clear if all of this items always detected under system (or just we still able to choose them - even if all clean); But probably does not matter -> because uninstallation anyway skipped (or completed briefly and not ask for any restarts);

You should be able to safely tell it to remove products you think might conflict with your current product. (as safely as you in general can run a tool that will scrub a product from a machine regardless of whether its uninstallation succeeds or not)
