Freedom v1.118.3656 'Check for Updates' does nothing - Windows 10 (1703)
My expectation is that I receive a reply, such as: 'No Update Available' - or - 'Update Available, click here.' I have unistalled and reinstalled (and reactivated), but the "no reply" behavior continues. If the product is going to check for upgrades periodically and then notify me automatically, then why even have the 'Check for Upgrades' option?

Hello,
Sorry for my reply. I'm also only F-Secure user;
My expectation is that I receive a reply, such as: 'No Update Available' - or - 'Update Available, click here.'
Probably valid expectation and latest (?) official statement was there about current design; As quote:
"""Regarding the 'Check for update', it does not show any message if there is no new version available in the channel. The product team mentioned that this will be looked upon in the future releases."""
If the product is going to check for upgrades periodically and then notify me automatically, then why even have the 'Check for Upgrades' option?
Probably this option available for "to force check updates"; I able to think that possible situation when "fresh build" already available but not pushed by UI notification automatically (at launch Freedome); Or other setting-situations;
And such "option" to choose "Check for Updates" will force re-check and downloading upgrade-installer. My own experience was about some situations -> when Freedome did not inform about available updates automatically, but "Check for Updates" did the trick;
Thanks!
