Anti virus scan facility

Why does the antivirus scanning icon only appear on 1 of my 5 devices under my subscription. Therefore I can only scan that one device which happens to be my mobile phone. Does this icon only go on to the first device loaded with the f-secure software?

Do you able to explain more... your experience about certain F-Secure solution as Home Users solution or maybe Business Users solution?

And do you talk about any remote-scan abilities or local under device?

 

Generally -> "scanning" option should be available under Windows, Mac, Android platforms;

iOS and Windows Phone not designed for such meanings (maybe based on things like: "not quite common to get indeed malware under this platform"; "not possible to perform scan filesystem under device");

If not possible to scan for malware how does the f-secure software know if I have a virus on any of the 5 devices

You able try to contact direct F-Secure Support Channels (chat/phone); They certified to investigate your situation (about potential trouble with disappearing "antivirus scanning picture" or broken functionality of F-Secure installation on some devices) or to create proper advices.

Platforms like Windows Phone or iOS 'protected' by F-Secure Safe Browser (and optional tweaks); Where access to known harmful-rated websites will be blocked; With other meanings -> maybe F-Secure able to think that it not possible to install malware (not by own steps) under this platform (?!); Or platform do not provide abilities to add "scanning"-features to software-application (as limitation of platform); Even it can be with a lot of rogue/scam tricks; And protection against malware under this platform can be based on their own research and tips for users (or platform's owner); For example, Microsoft published such article about Windows Phone previously; And F-Secure also have their own blogs like F-Secure Labs blog OR F-Secure Safe'n'Savvy blog - where they able to discuss about potential troubles and inform users about it;
