I'm having an issue where f-secure isnt updating properly and i'm recieving this 'Protection malfunction' it tells me i have to restart my computer but i have dont that 3 times already and i know it isnt helping. i really need a solution ASAP
Have you checked to make sure your Windows is up to date with Windows Updates? Also, it needs to be nothing older than Vista SP2.
Assuming no other conflicting AV software on the machine, I think the simplest first step would be to reinstall F-Secure from your SAFE portal. Try just reinstalling it over the top of itself first, but if that fails or causes more problems, then use the F-Secure Uninstallation Tool to completely remove the product, and start again.
Note - if you use the uninstallation tool, it will also remove any other F-Secure products, so make sure you have any required license keys available for when you reinstall.
