Why does Freedome install a certificate on Mac?

I'm curious why Freedome installs a certificate in my keychain. It's issued by "Freedome Clients" and is signed by an unknown authority. The common name looks like it's randomly generated.

Maybe there will be answers from more experienced Freedome/Mac users, but..

Also just because there can be delay with normal official response (based on weekends) - so - maybe you able try to ask their F-Secure Support Channels about such concern:

I'm not friendly with Mac-platform (so, not sure about design for VPN software and other), but for iOS there was such topic/requirements:

Maybe it partly related (!?) and does it possible that you have Freedome on iOS device (and keychain able to be synced between devices?!);
