Freedome VPN for Android

I recently subscribed for the 1-year subscription for the Freedome VPN service for my Android/Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. This might be a silly question for most but how do I know that the Freedome VPN service is "ACTUALLY" working. I know I can open the app and look at all of the statistics but is there some other way and/or method that shows me my phone is fully utilizing this service and the service is helping me? Thank you.

Opening the Freedome app and seeing the status/statistics is the best way to know that the program is working as it should. You can also check the status or the connection of Freedome on the Android status bar (on the top of the screen).
