F-Secure SAFE Mac - scanning exclusions
I'm running into problems on my MacOS laptop that are related to F-Secure SAFE installation:
After installing F-Secure SAFE 16.5 (15966) I'm getting a really poor performance on my VMware Fusion 8.5.3 Windows 10 virtual machine. Performance is back if I uninstall F-Secure SAFE or disable real-time scanning.
As it stands out I'm unable to set any scanning exclusions as I cannot find options for them like in Windows version.
Is scanning exclusions supported at all or is there possibly configuration file somewhere where I can edit in folders and processes that I want to be excluded?

Hi, thank you for your feedback.
Exclusion list is in the product backlog for SAFE Mac, and will be included in a future release.
However, it is indeed already possible to exclude file accesses by a known process through a configuration file. Please edit /usr/local/f-secure/fsmac/sysconfig/system_daemons and add VMware process path in the file. You will need super user rights (e.g. sudo nano /usr/local/f-secure/fsmac/sysconfig/system_daemons in terminal) to do so.
Note that the file in question will be overwritten upon product upgrade so you will then need to edit it again. Hopefully you can live with this until we release the exclusion list feature.
Let us know if you have any further issues.
