The browser on one of my machines suddenly starting defaulting to minehp

 

I contacted support and a technician reset the default settings and did other things. For a few days all was ok but the problem has reappeared and even spread to edge, which I never use. Since I never visit at risk web sites I assume there must be something resident on the machine, even though a scan shows up nothing.

 

I have just spent an hour waiting for chat to respond, but no luck.

It's just my natural mistrust of freeware, which often comes at a hidden price in the form of malwaure. Have you used this product yourself. please?
